TREES OF HOPE Project
LMTD has partnered with local NGOs, community centers, schools and churches to provide over 600 trees, grown from seedlings, in the communities of Kakuma and Kalobeyei.
For a refugee making a home in the desert, a tree is a source of calm, a sense of connectedness and welcomed shade.
It matters.
The excitement of the children helping to plant the trees, the community’s gratitude, and the impact on the inhospitable environment are something that cannot be measured.
