The Knead to Feed Bakery
A refugee-owned bakery in Kenya’s Kakuma Settlement, designed to create jobs, teach entrepreneurship, and improve food security.
At full capacity it produced 12,000 loaves a month and put refugees on payroll at a living wage. The Knead to Feed Bakery was severely damaged by a monsoon in early 2026. But our Difference Makers and community leaders are rebuilding. Production is expected to resume in July 2026.
- 12,000 loaves a month at full capacity
- Living wages for bakery employees
Peace & Conflict Resolution Outreach
Help us fund our NEW peacebuilding curriculum, developed and delivered by refugee and community leaders who have experienced conflict firsthand.
Survivors of violence are trained to disrupt it in schools, settlements, and whole camps. Graduates become Global Peace Ambassadors and carry the training into their own communities. The Kakuma camp manager asked us to run it for every incoming refugee.
- Violence down an estimated 60% in two settlements
- 11 countries reached
